Headquartered in West Lafayette, Ind., Purdue Federal Credit Union (Purdue Federal) was founded on the Purdue University campus in 1969 by a group of Purdue employees searching for a place where they, their families and their fellow employees could save and borrow money safely, confidentially and at a fair rate of interest.

Through its seven full-service branches, two high-school branches, and online and mobile banking services, Purdue Federal offers its members an array of financial products including locally serviced mortgage and consumer loan products, savings and money market accounts, checking accounts with direct deposit, individual retirement accounts and business accounts. It also provides online services that allow its members to manage their money when and where it’s convenient for them. 

And today, Purdue Federal  remains strong because it has stayed true to its original purpose—people helping people. Since 2009, it has earned the honor as the Best Financial Institution, Best Checking & Savings Account and Best Mortgage Lender as voted by Journal & Courier readers.

Purdue Federal  has been recognized for the last 6 years by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce as a Best Place to Work in Indiana. Most recently Purdue Federal ranked sixth of 21 medium-sized companies in the 2016 Best Places to Work in Indiana competition.

The top companies in the state are determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys.
