Stella Porto

Stella Porto is a seasoned professional in e-learning and knowledge management, currently serving as a Learning & Knowledge Management Senior Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank since September 2014. In this role, Stella oversees all phases of planning, development, management, marketing, delivery, and quality assurance of online courses targeting stakeholders in economic and social development across the Americas. Additionally, Stella operates as an E-learning Consultant at StellerJ Consulting LLC, and is involved as a Quality Matters Facilitator and Research colleague at QM Quality Matters. Prior experience includes significant roles at the University of Maryland University College, where Stella directed the Master of Distance Education & E-learning program, and served as Department Chair and Associate Chair of Information Technology Systems. Stella's early career included a professorship in Computer Science at Universidade Federal Fluminense and pro-bono consulting for the European Foundation for Management Development.
