Jim Shorter

Jim Shorter is an experienced professional currently serving as the Director of Education and Outreach at Quantum Research International since April 2023. Previously, Jim held the position of Program Manager at Arcarithm and worked as a Security Clearance Adjudicator for the FBI from January 2021 to April 2022. With a distinguished 20-year career at the FBI, Jim's roles included Assistant Section Chief, where oversight of cyber technology operations, policy development, and strategic leadership in national security investigations were key responsibilities. Jim managed cyber and counterintelligence investigative teams, established protocols in international cyber operations, and served as a liaison with commercial and law enforcement partners. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of Mississippi and has pursued further education at Louisiana State University, Northwestern University, and the University of Colorado Boulder.
