Patricia O'Callaghan

Patricia O'Callaghan currently serves as the Director General for the Queensland Government since November 2024, focusing on advocacy, economic development, and improving visitation outcomes for North Queensland. Prior experience includes roles as Chief Executive Officer at Tourism and Events Queensland and Gold Coast Tourism Corporation, and CEO at Townsville Enterprise, where Patricia emphasized regional economic strategies and tourism growth. Earlier, Patricia was General Manager at the Mount Isa Chamber of Commerce, advocating for North West Queensland's interests. An alumnus of Queensland University of Technology, Patricia holds degrees in Business, Public Relations, and Marketing, and has completed the Company Directors Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
