Darren Cavanagh

Darren Cavanagh is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in information technology and digital transformation. Currently serving as the Chief Information and Digital Officer at Queensland Rail since June 2024, Cavanagh previously held the position of Group Chief Information Officer at Transport for NSW from March 2022 to June 2024. Prior roles include Chief Information Officer at Transport Sydney Trains, Head of IS Operations and Delivery at George Weston Foods, and multiple significant positions at Mars, including CIO for Latin America and HR Manager roles. Cavanagh's educational background includes a BBus in Business Management from the University of Technology Sydney and an Associate Diploma in Computer Applications from the University of Wollongong, complemented by leadership training at the NSW Leadership Academy.
