Fernando Patolsky

Board Member at Quris

Fernando Patolsky is head of the Patolsky Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at Tel-Aviv University. Fernando is a recognized leader in development of advanced methods for hierarchical assembly of nanoscale wires, and in the interface between such materials and biological-chemical components. These aspects are all supportive of the Quris development plan as his team routinely produce microfluidic devices and nano-sensors with properties, scale, and manufacturing. His work has been recognized by a number of awards including the Tel Aviv University Applied Sciences Award (2009), the Alon Fellowship award (2006) and the Schmidt Prize (2005). He has published over 70 highly cited papers in peer-reviewed journals, and has more than 20 submitted patents. Patolsky is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Nanobiotechnology. Fernando earned his PhD at the Hebrew University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard.
