John Keenan

John Keenan is the current Chairman at RaceNation and has over 20 years of experience in finance. John has worked as an Interim Finance Director at Iconex and as a Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal. John has also run their own management and consultancy firm, Keenan Management & Consultancy.

At Iconex, John was responsible for establishing the Group's statutory reporting and corporate governance structure, including group consolidation, local statutory, tax and financial control (IFRS / FRS). John also oversaw the post merger integration for the company.

At Alvarez & Marsal, John was responsible for developing and establishing the new CFO / Corporate Transformation Practice. John also served as an Interim CFO, advisor and transformation consultant for global, FTSE and Private Equity companies over a wide range of sectors; manufacturing, distribution, media & entertainment, financial services and engineering.

Some of the notable engagements John has been a part of include: a global operating model transformation for a media & entertainment company; commercial impact assessment and financial sustainability for a financial services company; post-merger integration for an independent production & distribution company; and global finance transformation following a Board restructure for a manufacturing company.

In 2012, John was appointed to Pearson PLC's Divisional Board where they had responsibility for Global finance. In this role, they led the development of value creation plan to facilitate growth and drive transition from print to digital/online

John Keenan has a type C.A., which stands for Chartered Accountant, and their field is in finance and tax. John attended the University of Stirling for their BA (Hons) in Finance & Tax. John is also a Certified Internal Auditor from IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors.
