Regina van Boekel Ph.D.

Regina (Rianne) van Boekel PhD, RN, is a distinguished Head Nurse and Zorgmanager at Radboudumc, specializing in Pain and Palliative Medicine, and serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology. With extensive experience, Regina leads the Acute Pain Service, focusing on the early recognition and management of pain. As a researcher, Regina completed a PhD in Medical Sciences at Radboud University and has been actively involved in various boards and committees, including advisory roles in nursing and pain management. Regina is a prominent educator at the Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen, where responsibilities include training nurses in pain and palliative care.
