Val is passionate about making organizations more effective and enjoys helping clients streamline processes and implement HR initiatives that drive employee engagement and create positive cultural change. She operates with a hands-on approach to uncover solutions that will enhance individual performance and allow organizations to achieve strategic goals. Val is recognized as a trusted advisor by her clients and can quickly build relationships with team members to coach managers and drive positive employee relations.
Prior to returning to RealHR, Val served as head of People & Culture at a local non-profit. A key member of the leadership team, Val successfully utilized stakeholder input to drive engagement and establish programs and policies to allow the organization to scale quickly in response to the tremendous need in the community.
Val partners with senior leadership to develop HR programs and practices across all functional areas with extensive experience in organizational development and talent management. She has conducted 1-1 coaching programs, delivered leadership development assessments, led workforce planning initiatives, project-managed large-scale leadership development programs, developed performance management practices and processes, and conducted HR assessments and audits.
Val holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington and a Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University.
