Stephen Clarke

Currently a Non Executive Director of a number of companies, Stephen was Group Finance Director of the Direct Line group of companies between 1995 and 2003; Chief Executive of Charles Taylor Consulting plc between 2003 and 2005; a Non Executive Director of various companies in the Torus Insurance group between 2008 and 2014; and is a Non-executive director of Covea Insurance plc and Covea Life Limited (formerly Sterling General Insurance and Sterling Life) where he was Chair of the Audit Committee from 2005 until their acquisition by Covea.

Stephen qualified as an accountant in 1979 and was a partner at a predecessor firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers until 1995.
