Chris Root

Chris Root serves as the CEO of AeroRoot21 LLC, focusing on sustainment technology for the Department of Defense (DoD) since January 2021, following a distinguished 33-year career with the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). Root has held various business development roles at SIMBA Chain, Sharp Vision Software, ES3, Boston Engineering, and RedShred. As a Technology Transfer Specialist at TechLink and a consultant for Nooks, Root applies extensive expertise gained through leadership positions at NAVAIR, including Advanced Technologies & Innovation IPT Lead and Structures Division Head, where responsibilities encompassed research, engineering oversight, and structural support for various military aircraft programs. Root holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Aerospace Engineering from San Diego State University.
