Henry von Schroeter is a skilled chemical engineer with extensive experience in the lithium-ion battery sector. Currently serving as a Staff Chemical Engineer at Redwood Materials since November 2020, responsibilities include conceptualizing and managing plant operations related to recycling and refining. Prior roles at Redwood Materials include Senior Chemical Engineer, focusing on the development of North America's largest lithium-ion battery cathode plants utilizing recycled materials, and Chemical Engineer, specializing in the recycling processes for lithium-ion batteries and electronic waste. Previously, at Hatch from September 2017 to November 2020, Henry held the position of Battery Materials Process Engineering Lead, where innovative technologies for the lithium-ion battery supply chain were developed, along with project management roles overseeing engineering studies. Additionally, as a Co-Founder of Dream Again, Henry led a team to create custom-fitted masks for sleep apnea treatment. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from Queen's University and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Upper Canada College.
