Brian Farmer is an experienced legal professional specializing in investment management. Currently a Partner at Reed Smith LLP since October 2022, Brian provides counsel to institutional investors, including universities and pension plans, while also advising select fund managers and investment advisers. Prior to this role, Brian served as Managing Partner at Hirschler Fleischer from 1996 to October 2022, leading a team focused on legal issues related to alternative investments. Additionally, Brian was a member of the Board of Trustees for the Richmond Retirement System's Investment Advisory Committee from 2014 to 2016. Brian holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Computer Science from the University of Virginia.
