Christopher Maurer

Christopher Maurer serves as a Partner at Reed Smith LLP since July 1997, where involvement in the Financial Industry Group focuses on Corporate and Real Estate Finance. Extensive experience includes representation of major banks and institutional lenders in diverse lending and finance transactions. Prior to this role, Christopher held the position of Assistant Vice President at The New Milford Bank & Trust Co. from August 1993 to July 1997, managing the negotiation and restructuring of defaulted commercial loans and overseeing the bank's REO property portfolio. Academic credentials include a JD in Corporate and Real Estate Finance from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and a BA in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from Boston University.
