Alan Biegelman is a Director at Reference Point with extensive experience leading technology initiatives for financial services companies spanning Capital Markets Trading, Origination, Analytics, Sales, Research, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Payments, and E-Commerce. Alan has successfully created the strategy and implementation for many transformational global projects through ambiguous and complex situations including cross-functional and geographically dispersed organizations.
Prior to joining Reference Point, Alan held senior roles at Verifone, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette, and Smith Barney. His responsibilities included managing global software development teams covering architecture, programming project and program management, business analysis, user experience, and customer support. Recently, Alan created and led the PMO for Verifone’s commerce services business and ran the program management team at Citi resulting in an early to market NFC Mobile Wallet in Hong Kong on the Android and Apple iOS platforms. His earlier projects include leading the delivery of an external client portal with analytics and data for Debt and Equity Capital Markets, the new build of a global platform to distribute research at Credit Suisse, and the implementation of all cash fixed income trading systems front to back at Smith Barney.
Alan holds an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and a BS in Computer Science. Outside of work Alan enjoys tennis, skiing, scuba diving, and spending time with his family.
