Xiaoxi Wei

Xiaoxi (Sofie) Wei has a diverse professional background with significant contributions in healthcare, research, and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as a Healthcare Advisor for the University of California’s Working Group on Innovation Transfer and Entrepreneurship, Wei supports strategic initiatives to enhance the commercialization of research discoveries within the UC system. As the Founder and CEO of X-Therma Inc., Wei leads innovation in bio-inspired ice-interactive polymers and has been actively involved as a Scientific Advisor for Life Extension. Wei also chairs the Younger Chemists Committee of the American Chemical Society, advocating for early-career chemists. With prior roles including Principal Investigator at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Procurement Manager at TPetro Petrochemical Equipment Engineering Group, Wei combines extensive research and business development experience, holding a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University at Buffalo.
