Mikael Hedelind

Mikael Hedelind is an experienced professional in project management and funding, currently serving as the Grants and Funding Manager at the Stockholm Environment Institute since April 2023. With a strong background at the European Commission as an External Expert since October 2013, Mikael has conducted project proposal evaluations and technical reviews. Previous roles include Project Manager at Mälardalen University, where focus was on helping industries leverage digitalization and advanced manufacturing technologies, and various positions at VINNOVA, including Programme Manager and National Expert for Horizon Europe. Mikael’s earlier career includes significant contributions as a Senior Scientist at ABB Corporate Research and a range of project management roles, reflecting expertise in industrial robotics, automation, and the digital factory. Education includes a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Licentiate degree in Engineering from Mälardalen University.
