Michelle Merz-Hutchinson

Michelle Merz-Hutchinson currently serves as Deputy General Counsel at RTD, a position held since February 2021. Prior to this role, Michelle held various positions at the Colorado School of Mines, including Deputy General Counsel and Associate General Counsel, from August 2015 to February 2021. Before that, experience included serving as First Assistant Attorney General at the Colorado Attorney General's Office and as a Judicial Law Clerk for the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Michelle began professional legal work as an Assistant Attorney General at the Colorado Attorney General's Office and also worked as an Associate Attorney at Pendleton Friedberg Wilson & Hennessey. Academically, Michelle earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music from the University of Oklahoma.
