Previously, Sonpal worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Nahar Industrial Enterprises Limited, where responsibilities included overseeing yarn dyeing production planning and lab work, along with color recipe prediction and quality audits. As a Production Engineer at Vardhman Textiles, Sonpal focused on hank yarn dyeing across various fibers while optimizing production resources, and earlier worked as an Officer at Shree Bala Ji Manufacturing Private Limited. Sonpal holds a Bachelor of Technology in Textile Sciences and Engineering from Himachal Pradesh Technical University and has additional technical education in the field.
