Shawn Austad

Shawn Austad is a seasoned geotechnical professional with an extensive background in engineering and geology. Currently serving as Team Lead for Geotechnical Services and Project Manager II at RETTEW since August 2015, Shawn has also contributed to Equitrans Midstream Corporation as a Design Engineer/Geologist from June 2019 to January 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Geotechnical Project Manager/Project Geologist at Cribbs & Associates, Inc. and Project Geologist at GeoMechanics, Inc., where Shawn managed numerous projects for entities such as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and private clients. Additionally, Shawn held the position of President for the Greensburg Salem Ice Hockey Association from April 2011 to April 2013. Shawn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania between 1990 and 1994.
