Karan Syal

Karan Syal, PhD, currently holds the position of AI Partnerships - Biopharma at Reveal HealthTech, focusing on business development for GenAI/ML products in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors. Previously, Karan served as Vice President of Account Partnerships at Komodo Health and as CEO of iVizz, where significant achievements included the acquisition of iVizz by Alfeco Holdings and the launch of iVizz-AI to enhance enterprise workflows. Karan also worked as a Manager of Market Analytics & Strategy at Genentech and gained experience as a Graduate Research Student at the Biodesign Institute, resulting in multiple patents and high-impact publications. Karan’s early career included roles as a marketing intern at Genentech, an analyst at ZS Associates, and various summer internships at renowned institutions like Max Planck Institute and Nanyang Technological University. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Arizona State University and a dual B.Tech and M.Tech in Biotechnology with a minor in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
