Ingela Holmertz

Ingela Holmertz has extensive leadership experience in humanitarian and non-profit organizations, serving as Secretary General at RFSU since October 2020 and previously at ActionAid Sweden from March 2017 to September 2020, where Ingela was a member of the ActionAid Federation Leadership Team. Prior to this, Ingela held the position of Regional Director for Southeast Asia at Johanniter International Assistance, overseeing various humanitarian programs. Ingela also served as National Director at the Swedish Red Cross, managing domestic programs and advocating for humanitarian values. Other roles included consultancy with the IFRC and leadership positions at both the Swedish Red Cross and the Vietnam Red Cross, demonstrating a strong commitment to social welfare, disaster response, and advocacy throughout a progressive career in the sector.
