Yiğit Karataş

Yiğit Karataş is a System Control Engineer at Rheem Manufacturing since August 2022, previously gaining valuable experience in mechanical engineering through multiple internships. At Purdue University, Yiğit contributed as a Student Shop Employee from August 2018 to September 2019, mentoring peers in machining techniques and enhancing design for manufacturing skills. Yiğit interned as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at DAL ENGINEERING GROUP in June 2019, focusing on the design of a submerging pipe for a cement factory and improving practical skills, including CAD software proficiency. Additionally, Yiğit assisted in design and quality control at Aymas Recycling Machines during an internship in July 2016, learning to operate manufacturing equipment and CAD tools. Yiğit holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and an International Baccalaureate diploma, complemented by a high school diploma from The Koç School.
