Silvia Lips

Silvia Lips is an experienced professional in the fields of Information Technology and legal affairs, currently serving as the eIDAS Single Point of Contact at the Estonian Information System Authority since April 2021, where responsibilities include overseeing eIDAS regulation initiatives and communication with Member States. Since January 2019, Silvia has also been engaged as a researcher at TalTech University, focusing on eID and e-governance, contributing to scientific publications, and participating in ICT projects and conferences. Prior roles include Adviser-Expert at the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board, managing ID document production and procurement processes from 2014 to 2019, and leading the Legal and Procurement Department at the IT and Development Centre under the Estonian Ministry of the Interior from 2008 to 2014. Silvia's academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Information Technology and a Master’s Degree in Legal Professions held from TalTech and Tallinn University, respectively, along with ongoing doctoral studies in Information Technology at TalTech.
