Kate Howell

Kate Howell currently serves as the Strategic Initiatives Coordinator at Ridgefield Academy since July 2024. Previously, Kate held the position of Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Northern Essex Community College from November 2022 to September 2023, and served as the Middle/Upper School Division Head at Derby Academy from July 2018 to June 2022. Kate's extensive experience in education includes roles at Ridgefield Academy as Director of Service Learning and Spanish Teacher, as well as at Greenwich Country Day School and Convent of the Sacred Heart Greenwich, where Spanish teaching and leadership roles were prominent. Additionally, Kate worked as Nature Guide Training Program Director at Rare and as Field Coordinator at WorldTeach. Educational credentials consist of coursework in Public Policy and Organization and Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a BA in Spanish with a minor in English Literature from Wittenberg University.
