Matt Smith

Matt Smith serves as the Head of Product (Mortgages) at Rightmove since February 2022. Prior to this role, Matt held various positions at Nationwide Building Society from October 2012 to February 2022, including Chief Product Owner (Mortgages) and Head of Product Management - Mortgages, where responsibilities involved leading agile teams to implement digital mortgage innovations and shaping policy developments in the UK's mortgage market. Further experience includes serving as Senior Policy Adviser at the Council of Mortgage Lenders from September 2007 to September 2012, where lobbying on regulatory matters took precedence. Matt's career began as Senior Policy Officer at the British Property Federation, contributing to climate change policies and complying with EU directives. Education was completed at the University of Southampton from 1999 to 2003.
