Lars Torvund

Lars Torvund is an experienced financial auditor currently serving as Avdelingsdirektør for financial audits at Riksrevisjonen since June 2015, where responsibilities include leading the financial audit section for the Ministry of Education and its subordinate agencies. Previously, Lars held various roles within Riksrevisjonen, including acting department director and senior advisor focused on developing methodologies and digital auditing tools. Prior to Riksrevisjonen, Lars worked as a Manager at KPMG Advisory, leading IFRS conversion projects, and as a Manager and authorized public accountant at PwC, overseeing audits for large corporations across multiple industries. Lars began a career in the Royal Norwegian Air Force as a technical officer. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Accounting and Auditing from the Norwegian School of Economics, a Master's in Finance from the University of Strathclyde, and a Bachelor's in Finance from Handelshøyskolen BI. Additionally, Lars completed leadership training at the Norwegian Air Force Academy.
