Danny Soucy

Danny Soucy currently serves as the Underground Development Superintendent at Rio Tinto, a position held since January 2022, following a role as Underground Coordinator at the same company. Prior to this, Danny worked at Rio Tinto from November 2017 to January 2021 in multiple supervisory capacities, including Casting Operations Supervisor and Reduction Operations Supervisor. Danny's earlier experience includes serving as Underground Operations Supervisor at Vale from 2008 to October 2017 and as Raise/Development Leader at SCR Mining & Tunnelling LP from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, Danny co-owned and managed daily operations and finances at Danny Soucy Logging from September 1995 to September 2005. Danny Soucy is recognized for a strong commitment to safety leadership and conducting audits to ensure safe working conditions. Education was completed at the University of New Brunswick.
