Sylvain Déry

Sylvain Déry, eng., PMP, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in information systems, technology, and engineering management. Currently serving as Business Partner for Information Systems & Technology at Rio Tinto since February 2022, Sylvain oversees IS&T accountability for the Aluminium Atlantic businesses, covering regions in Quebec, British Columbia, and Iceland. Previously, Sylvain held senior roles at CN, managing a $200M Transport and Network Technology portfolio and leading the Positive Train Control program. As Executive Director at Artika, Sylvain developed a global product development process, and at CAE, Sylvain held positions in bids, proposals, and product development, leading intrapreneurship initiatives. Early career roles included customer support management at L3 Technologies and field application engineering at Dynasty Components. Sylvain's educational background includes a Master’s in Engineering Management from Université de Sherbrooke and several advanced certificates in engineering and business analysis.
