Bjorn Halvorson

Bjorn Halvorson, CPA, serves as the Head of Finance at Rise since December 2024. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Revenue Accounting at MoonPay, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing all accounting functions related to revenue, cost of sales, and accounts receivable, as well as the execution of early adoption of ASU 2023-08. At Plastiq, Bjorn held titles of Director of Revenue Accounting and Senior Manager of Revenue Operations, driving improvements in revenue/margin accounting, automating processes, and performing forensic accounting to recover lost payment funds. Earlier tenure includes significant roles at Deloitte, focusing on FP&A, process automation, technical accounting, and M&A integration, alongside positions at Grant Thornton LLP and various internships. Bjorn holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Washington Foster School of Business.
