Lucian Newman

Dr. Lucian Newman III serves on the board of River Bank & Trust. He is a board-certified general surgeon practicing in Gadsden, Alabama and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has served on the BCBS-AL PMD advisory board for seventeen years, including six as chair. He founded Vincari, a medical software company, 16 years ago which was acquired by Nuance of Burlington, Massachusetts, in 2019. He currently serves as CMIO for Nuance SCAPD. Dr. Newman is a 1984 graduate of the University of Alabama and a 1988 graduate of The University of Alabama school of medicine. A member of the Etowah County Sports Hall of Fame, he has won the national Arm amputee golf title ten times and the overall National Senior Amputee three times.
