Noemi Hernandez-Alexander

Dr. Noemi Hernandez Alexander is an educator and a mom of children attending RUSD schools. She is married to the founder and CEO of Blackroses, a creative agency in Riverside.

She attended public schools and is a first-generation high school graduate. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, a master’s in Public Administration and Policy, and a Ph.D. in Political Science.

In her professional life, she is a researcher, writer, teacher, and public speaker. She enjoys being a mentor to young adults and is a college professor at a local university where she teaches Political Science and Public Administration.

Dr. Hernandez Alexander partners with organizations dedicated to middle and high school students; and she is a Spanish language translator for an organization that serves survivors of human trafficking. She also serves alongside community leaders that exist to make Riverside a more inclusive, equitable, and livable place for all.
