Sam Merrens

Sam Merrens is an experienced professional in product management and science, currently serving as a Senior Product Manager for Charging Stations at ChargePoint since December 2020, focusing on the development of more DC chargers. Prior to this role, Sam held positions as a Technical Product Manager and previously worked at Ouster as a Product/Project Manager specializing in high-resolution air quality mapping and consulting on air quality sensors. Additional experience includes serving as a Staff Scientist at RPS North America, where toxic chemical sampling was a key responsibility, and as a Geoscientist-In-the-Parks with the National Park Service, mapping water resources in Saguaro National Park. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology/Earth Science from Dartmouth College, where significant research contributions included a senior thesis on developing a new water quality sensor and conducting 3D scans of landslides as an undergraduate research assistant.
