Richard Musgrove possesses extensive experience in marine and port operations, with a career spanning several decades. Currently semi-retired at Associated British Ports since March 2017, Richard is involved in key projects such as the Lake Lothing Third Crossing and Lowestoft Flood Response Management. Previous roles include Project Manager and Operations Manager at the Port of Lowestoft, and Marine Manager for Lowestoft and King's Lynn. Richard served as Harbour Master at Great Yarmouth and has held various positions within Associated British Ports, including Harbour Master and Pilot. Additionally, Richard has volunteered as Chair of the Lifeboat Management Group in Lowestoft and contributed to the Southwold Harbour Management Committee. Richard's maritime career began as a Deck Cadet with Shell Tankers (UK) Ltd, leading to roles on various vessels before transitioning to shore-based management. Educational foundation includes attendance at Lowestoft Grammar School and Plymouth School of Maritime Studies.
