Zhiyun Chen

Zhiyun Chen is a Principal Engineer in Fluid Dynamics at Roche, responsible for leading the technical implementation of liquid handling solutions in IVD product development since September 2019. This role involves planning and executing feasibility studies, conducting root cause analyses, and assessing new technologies with a highly analytical approach. Prior to Roche, Zhiyun Chen served as an R&D Engineer at GE Power, focusing on thermal dynamics and numerical simulations, and at Alstom, concentrating on generator cooling as part of the Generator Development Team. Early career experience includes a position at Siemens as a Development Engineer dealing with cooling aspects of small to medium generators. Zhiyun Chen holds a Doctorate Degree in Technische Mechanik from Universität des Saarlandes and a Master’s Degree in computational engineering from Ruhr University Bochum, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Maschinenbau from Tongji University.
