Hamza Sheirah

Hamza Sheirah is a Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering student at The University of Auckland, with diverse experience in engineering and technology. Currently serving as a Neutron Development Engineering Intern at Rocket Lab since November 2024, Hamza also holds multiple leadership roles in the University of Auckland Formula SAE Team as Structural Design Lead, Aerodynamics Team Lead, and Composites Team Member, focusing on high-performance race car components. Previous internships include Product Development Intern at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and Composite Technician at Innovate Composites Ltd. Alongside engineering, Hamza worked as a Student Tutor at MyTuition, assisting NCEA students in math and physics, and contributed as an Executive Committee Member for the Mechanical & Mechatronics Student Association, organizing events for fellow students. Early career experience includes roles at Burger King as a Food Service Manager and Food Service Worker, and as a Steel Fabricator Intern at Weldzone Engineering.
