Jim Wankowski

Jim Wankowski is the Principal Solutions Advisor at Rocket Software. Jim has over 30 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on data management and analytics. Jim began their career as a DB2 DBA Consultant with Greenbrier & Russel in 1990. In 1995, they joined Platinum Technology as VP of Field Operations. In 2000, they joined Quest Software as Db2 Product Manager/Marketing Manager/Technical Evangelist. In 2010, they joined CA Technologies as Principal Consultant - Db2 Specialist. In 2015, they joined IBM as Digital Technical Engagement - Hybrid Data Management, Data and AI on IBM Z. Jim's primary responsibility is creating and managing digital technical content for support of Db2 z/OS products, and IBM Cloud Pak for Data with an emphasis on data virtualization.

Jim Wankowski is a certified solution architect from IBM who specializes in cloud data management. Jim has a BS in numerical control from Northern Illinois University and is an IBM Champion for 2022.
