Steven Eckert

Steven Eckert is currently Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants and is world-renowned for his expertise in implant prosthodontics. Dr. Eckert graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and has completed a General Practice Residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago. After his graduate training in Prosthodontics, Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, and Master of Science at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, he was invited to be on staff at this prestigious clinic where he rose through the ranks until he reached Professor Emeritus. A Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics, Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, and the Academy of Prosthodontics and International Team for Implantology, he is currently in private practice in Minneapolis.

He is past president of the most influential organizations in dental implantology and prosthodontics, including the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthodontics, and the Academy of Prosthodontics. Dr. Eckert currently serves as the Director, Vice President, and examiner of the American Board of Prosthodontics.
