Milton Smith

Milton Smith is a seasoned geologist with extensive experience in various capacities across multiple companies within the energy sector. Currently, at GeoVision since May 2022, Milton specializes in geosteering horizontal wells in prominent plays such as Wolfcamp, Eagleford, and Niobrara. As the President of Little M Consulting since February 2020, Milton provides expert consulting for geologic projects, focusing on bypassed pay analysis and petrophysical analyses. Milton previously held roles including Project Manager at Ascend Global Services and Associate at Sam’s Club, where efforts enhanced operational efficiency. With a solid foundation from previous positions at Ascent Resources, American Energy Partners, LP, Chesapeake Energy, Weatherford, and various engineering roles in the Gulf Coast region, Milton has developed a robust skill set in geologic modeling, petrophysical analysis, and well planning. Milton holds a Master of Science in Geology from Southern Illinois University.
