Yuri Pevzner

Associate Director, Cheminformatics at ROME Therapeutics

Yuri Pevzner has over 20 years of experience in the field of cheminformatics. Yuri began their career in 2001 as an Independent Consultant and then worked as a Programmer/Analyst for Wesley Associates Business Consultants, Inc. from 2002-2005. From 2005-2007, they worked as a Programmer for the Software Technologies Laboratory. Yuri then worked as a Senior Developer/Consultant for The Lifeline Program from 2007-2008. From 2008-2010, they worked as a .NET/Database Developer for Unalisys. From 2010-2014, they worked as a Core Research Specialist, Molecular Modeling and Virtual Screening for Moffitt Cancer Center. From 2014-2017, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow - CADD/Cheminformatics and a Cancer Research Training Award Fellow, CADD/Cheminformatics for the National Cancer Institute (NCI). From 2017-2022, they worked as a Sr. Scientist Informatics for AbbVie. Yuri is currently working as an Associate Director, Cheminformatics for ROME Therapeutics and an Associate Director, Platform Development for New Equilibrium Biosciences.

Yuri Pevzner obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry (Computational) from the University of South Florida between 2009 and 2015. Prior to that, they earned an MS in Bioinformatics from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 2006 and 2007. Yuri received their BS in Computer Science (with Minors in Biology and Mathematics) from Virginia Tech between 2003 and 2006. Yuri also holds an Associate in Computer Science from Northampton Community College, which they earned between 1997 and 2002.
