Dave Goucher is the television play-by-play announcer for the Vegas Golden Knights since 2017. Prior to joining the Golden Knights, Dave was the radio play-by-play announcer for the Boston Bruins from 2000-2017. He has called games on 98.5 The Sports Hub for the last five seasons, including the Stanley Cup campaign of 2010-11. Goucher punctuated the final moment by exclaiming “Get the duck boats ready!” signifying it was time for a championship parade. He is just the third radio announcer to broadcast the Bruins winning the Stanley Cup. Goucher also captured the Bruins’ historic comeback from a three-goal deficit against the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2013, yelling “Bergeron! Bergeron!” after Patrice Bergeron’s overtime goal won Game 7. He spent nine years broadcasting Bruins games on WBZ-AM 1030.
A native of Pawtucket, RI and 1993 graduate of Boston University, Goucher has been named New England’s top radio play-by-play announcer by the Associated Press three times (2003, 2006 & 2007). Prior to landing in the NHL, Goucher spent seven seasons broadcasting minor league hockey. He was the radio voice of the Providence Bruins (AHL) from 1995-2000, including the P-Bruins Calder Cup season of 1998-99. Goucher was also part of NESN’s hockey coverage, calling Providence Bruins and ECAC games. He was the radio and television voice of the Wheeling Thunderbirds (ECHL) from 1993-95.
He began his broadcasting career at Boston University, calling two seasons of Terrier hockey including the Beanpot, the Hockey East Championships, and the 1993 NCAA Frozen Four.
