Maxine Holdsworth

Maxine Holdsworth currently serves as Chief Executive at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, a position held since October 2022. Previously, Maxine was the Corporate Director of Homes and Neighbourhoods at Islington Council, responsible for housing services for 35,000 households and initiatives to combat homelessness and enhance community safety. Maxine also held the role of Director of Housing Needs and Supply at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea following the Grenfell fire, overseeing all housing need services. Earlier career highlights include serving as Service Director of Housing Needs and Strategy at Islington Council, and various roles in housing policy and support at organizations such as the National Consumer Council and Terrence Higgins Trust. Maxine holds a Master of Arts in Policy Studies from the University of Bristol and a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from Sheffield and Oxford Universities.
