Tonny Berend

Tonny Berend is an experienced professional currently serving as Program Lead AI Deep Vision at Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, focusing on the development and implementation of Deep Vision AI systems since July 2024. Tonny has held various leadership roles, including Manager Digital & IT Solutions at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, where IT solutions for health services and pandemic control were created. Previous experience includes Lead Predictive Digital Twins at TNO, strategic advisor at Vetmeduni Vienna, and CIO at the Chamber of Commerce. As the owner of Kaersenhout Beheer bv, Tonny has provided interim management and strategic advisory services since 2004. Tonny holds degrees from Erasmus University Rotterdam, IMD, and UCLA, encompassing a strong foundation in econometrics, computer sciences, finance, risk management, and telecommunications.
