Alan Bowers

Alan Bowers is an experienced finance professional with a robust background in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently, Bowers serves as the Director of Finance at Royal Star & Garter since July 2024. Prior to this, Bowers held numerous key positions including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Sue Ryder from March 2020 to July 2024, and Chief Financial Officer at NCS from July 2019 to February 2020. Bowers has also served as Director of Finance at Sue Ryder, Head of Finance Transformation at Care UK, Financial Controller at Spire Healthcare, and Group Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Shanks plc. Bowers began the career as a Finance Business Partner at Cable & Wireless plc in April 2004. Bowers holds a BSc in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bristol, obtained in 1991.
