Dan Tyson

Dan Tyson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and advisory roles focused on First Nations health and economic participation. Serving as the Managing Director of Maven Research and Advisory since July 1997, Dan oversees this long-established entity. Dan currently holds multiple non-executive director positions in organizations such as Act for Kids, Youthrive, and Rural and Remote Mental Health, and is a member of the Health Performance Council in South Australia, providing expert advice to the Minister for Health and Wellbeing. Additionally, Dan has served as a Research Advisor for the Aboriginal Medical Services Alliance Northern Territory and held managerial positions with Ninti One Ltd and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Dan's educational credentials include a PhD in Medical Anthropology/Geography from The Australian National University and a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Hons) in Biogeography and Zoology from the University of Adelaide.
