Emma Beames

Emma Beames is an experienced data governance and project management professional with a strong background in managing data initiatives across various sectors. Currently serving as the Data Governance Manager at SA Water, Emma previously held the role of Data Program Manager at South Australia Police, where responsibilities included road safety data collaboration and data infrastructure uplift. Emma also worked as a Data Program Manager at OZ Minerals, overseeing multiple inter-related data initiatives, and as an IT Project Manager/Scrum Master at Land Services SA, leading cross-functional teams for a data commercialization product. A significant portion of Emma's career was spent at Flinders University in various roles, including Senior Project Manager and Special Advisor, where Emma successfully led data migration and governance projects. Emma holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Flinders University, a Graduate Certificate of Journalism from the University of South Australia, and a Professional Certificate in Innovation and Enterprise from Flinders University.
