Ramon Salazar Romero

Ramon Salazar Romero is a highly experienced materials engineer with a specialization in corrosion and cathodic protection. Currently serving as Principal Materials Engineer at SA Water since June 2017, Ramon has previously held senior roles at STORK, Santos Ltd, and SVT Engineering Consultants, focusing on pipeline integrity and corrosion engineering. With a strong background in designing and specifying cathodic protection systems, Ramon has extensive experience in field investigations, project proposals, and commissioning. Ramon began their career at PDVSA as a Corrosion Engineer before progressing to a Senior Inspection Engineer role at Saudi Aramco. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Corrosion from Universidad del Zulia and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering with a focus on polymers from Universidad Simón Bolívar.
