Bhakti Chohan

Bhakti Chohan currently serves as the Hybrid Rocket Propulsion Lead for the University of Toronto Aerospace Team, overseeing the evaluation and redesign of hybrid rocket engine systems for Launch Canada 2024, while also guiding solid fuel composition and manufacturing techniques. Previously, in the role of Structures Subsystem Lead, Bhakti successfully contributed to the launch of Defiance Mk. II, achieving significant milestones in altitude and speed for hybrid rockets in Canada. Additional experience includes working as a Student Researcher at STARS Laboratory to enhance tracking accuracy in automotive applications, serving as a Research Assistant at the Advanced Membranes Lab under Professor Jay Werber, and coordinating conference speakers for SEDS Canada. Bhakti gained early engineering experience through internships at City Engineering Works Ltd and General Cargo Services, and is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science at the University of Toronto.
