Eric Johnson

Eric Johnson, PhD, currently serves as the Rome Program Manager at SAI Programs since November 2024. Previously, Eric worked as an Italian to English Course Specialist at Duolingo from January 2022 to December 2024 and held the position of Italian Instructor at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2020 to May 2024, as well as at the University of Pittsburgh from August 2018 to August 2020. Eric's experience also includes serving as the Director of Business Development at Pack Up + Go, where responsibilities involved identifying growth channels and managing business partnerships from June 2016 to July 2018. Earlier in the career, Eric was a Business English Teacher at The Dawson Group Italia from September 2014 to June 2015. Eric holds a PhD in Second Language Acquisition from Carnegie Mellon University, an MA in Italian Language and Literature from the University of Pittsburgh, and a BA in Economics and Italian Studies from the University of Virginia.
