Mark Young is a board member at Salesboost and a former brand senior vice president at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Mark was responsible for executing the strategic intents of the Ramada Worldwide and Travelodge Hotel brands to maximize system growth and strengthen the franchisee value proposition. Mark also oversaw 900 hotels totaling over $1.4 billion in gross room revenue and 3 brand marketing funds totaling over $60 million annually.
During their time at Wyndham, Mark successfully repositioned the Ramada Worldwide brand by implementing new standards and focusing on compliance. This led to the brand becoming a 3 star, mid-scale collection of full service hotels. Mark also chaired the Ramada U.S. and Canada franchisee advisory boards, and the Travelodge advisory board.
Mark has extensive experience in developing and implementing business plans to create vision and set strategic direction for hotel brand companies. Mark has also improved the RevPAR index for Ramada Worldwide U.S. vs the Midscale segment by over 10 percentage points since 2007. In addition, they dramatically increased the revenue contribution from Ramada Canada from 8% to 25% since its acquisition in late 2002.
Mark is a experienced keynote speaker, having delivered speeches to over 800 owners, investors and franchisees every 18 months at brand global conferences since 2001. In 2013, they delivered 2 different brand keynotes on the same day.
Mark Young has a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the School of Management at Boston College. Mark also has a certification from the American Hotel and Lodging Association in Certified Hotel Admimistrator (CHA) and another certification from the American Hotel and Lodging Association in Food and Beverage Committee.
